N&M: What makes your product and your region special?
Eder: “Our Organic Raingrown Avocados supports both the planet and your health by lowering 'bad' cholesterol and is perfect raw in salads, with vegetables, or on its own. In Peribán de Ramos, Michoacán, abundant rainfall nourishes the orchards, and during dry periods, we use stored rainwater for irrigation. This eco-friendly approach conserves freshwater and reduces our ecological footprint.”
N&M: Why and at what point did you make the switch to organic farming?
Eder: "Avocado farming has been practiced in my family for generations, and when I was diagnosed with asthma, we decided to transition to organic farming methods. This decision brought not only health benefits but also numerous ecological advantages: improved soil fertility, increased biodiversity, and a significant reduction in waste and pollution. Organic farming has created a healthier environment for our workers, better products for our customers, and a more sustainable future."
N&M: What do you like most about your job?
Eder: "I love generating jobs that prioritize good environmental practices, contributing to the care of nature, and producing healthy fruits that enhance the quality of life for consumers. Growing Organic Raingrown Avocados allows me to make a positive impact while providing a superfood that aligns with the increasing demand for sustainable and responsible products."
