Avova

Hi, my name is Eder Salvador, and together with my team at Avova, we grow and export Organic Raingrown Avocados from the lush orchards of Peribán de Ramos, Michoacáno in Mexico. Our avocados are sustainably cultivated, using natural rainwater, making them eco-friendly and rich in nutrients. Thank you for supporting sustainable farming and enjoying our organic superfood!

Avova is a family business, exporting and marketing avocados of the highest quality, grown in our own orchards. Our family-run team brings generations of experience and dedication to avocado farming, ensuring we deliver a product cultivated with care, commitment, and respect for nature.

N&M: What makes your product and your region special?
Eder: “Our Organic Raingrown Avocados supports both the planet and your health by lowering 'bad' cholesterol and is perfect raw in salads, with vegetables, or on its own. In Peribán de Ramos, Michoacán, abundant rainfall nourishes the orchards, and during dry periods, we use stored rainwater for irrigation. This eco-friendly approach conserves freshwater and reduces our ecological footprint.”

N&M: Why and at what point did you make the switch to organic farming?
Eder: "Avocado farming has been practiced in my family for generations, and when I was diagnosed with asthma, we decided to transition to organic farming methods. This decision brought not only health benefits but also numerous ecological advantages: improved soil fertility, increased biodiversity, and a significant reduction in waste and pollution. Organic farming has created a healthier environment for our workers, better products for our customers, and a more sustainable future."

N&M: What do you like most about your job?
Eder: "I love generating jobs that prioritize good environmental practices, contributing to the care of nature, and producing healthy fruits that enhance the quality of life for consumers. Growing Organic Raingrown Avocados allows me to make a positive impact while providing a superfood that aligns with the increasing demand for sustainable and responsible products."

soil

Our Organic Raingrown Avocados grow in soil enriched by natural methods. We retain weeds and leaf litter to maintain humidity and organic matter. Fertility is boosted with raw beef manure and natural foliar fertilizers like zinc and boron. Pruning promotes light and air circulation, supporting healthy photosynthesis. Alongside avocados, we cultivate deep-rooted trees and legumes to enhance biodiversity.

biodiversity

We protect biodiversity by banning hunting and maintaining fruit trees, cover plants, and legumes that prevent erosion and enrich the ecosystem. The orchard hosts wildlife such as eagles, foxes, armadillos, and deer, creating a balanced environment.
