Hi, my name is Pathé Dia and I grow organic mango’s in Senegal. I’m the president of Bio Niayes, a group of 200 small farmers. We started converting to organic in 2009 en became certified organic two years later, but it was difficult to sell our mango’s to Europe. Through E3lothis Sénégal and Nature & More we are now reaching the European market, which is very important for us. We hope that you enjoy our fruit!

Our growers all live in the area of Niayes, above the city of Thies, along the coast. This area is a relatively  cool part of the mango growing region. The mango’s grow a bit slower here, and therefore develop more taste. I think of the mango as the king of fruit trees: its roots grow very deep, so it’s very resistant against drought, and it can grow for many years.
To make sure that our mango's don't get mixed up with conventional fruit, E3lothis Sénégal does our packing and processing in a dedicated organic  pack house. Through our cooperation we hope to reach as much farmers as  possible, and help them to convert to organic farming.
